Sharpe Products had a Work Place Visit with the Mayor of New Berlin, Jack Chiovatero, on March 17, 2009. During this visit the Mayor and a member of the Department of Community Development received a tour of Sharpe Products’ facilities and learned about the products, services, and capabilities of the company.
The purpose of a Work Place Visit is to help educate city officials and the Department of Community Development about local businesses and the products and services that they offer. In turn, city officials are then able to educate developers and retailers that come into the community with development projects of local businesses that have specific products, services, and capabilities that they may need for their development projects.
The Work Place Visits are also used at a networking tool among local businesses, as there may be a product or service available to them in their own backyards that they may have not been aware of. By doing this economic health and development are maintained within the community and keeps local businesses networking and communicating with each other.
